Wicked Words

Caxton is not especially aimed at non-native speakers, but any that do happen to read it may be interested in a lively new Facebook page which opened this month. It’s called ‘Wicked Words’, and introduces words that a student may not encounter in a normal course of study. They are, in the words of the founder, words ‘that have personalities, interesting lives and like to get around, as well as those cool-but-shy ones with a quirky streak.’

  1. Barrie, you might enjoy this project by friends of a college friend. Some of the created words are memorably clever and the illustrations are excellent. http://wordbirds.tumblr.com/

  2. Thank you, Anne. Added to my list of links. Great idea and great illustrations.
